Infrastructure

Access to land is a key prerequisite for infrastructure and resource development projects. Land access varies with specific projects and their respective legislation. For corridor acquisition under the Petroleum Act the access to land is provided by an order-in-council which allows entry onto land for our land agents and contractors.

RLMS Land Agents negotiate with landowners and respective stakeholders to facilitate easement acquisition through negotiation. Each land agent has a rural background and is familiar with negotiating and dealing with issues relating to both the land and the construction process. They are well known and respected throughout a significant number of rural communities in Queensland and are a vital key in the optimal preparation for a project.

Access to land will become increasingly more difficult and a clear strategy needs to be developed very early in a project.
