Ross Skerman Director and Principal
Ross Skerman is the Principal at RLMS. He has over 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Ross entered the oil industry in South East Asia before he joined Delhi Petroleum, managing the company’s presence in Queensland, particularly the South West Queensland Gas development. Ross set up RLMS in 1990 to provide environmental consulting, mapping and land management to all sectors, particularly energy, transport, communications and exploration. Bob Otjen General Manager
Bob Otjen is a self-described “grizzly old pipeliner” with 37 years of experience in the industry. Before coming to RLMS as General Manager he had worked on pipelines and related projects in 17 different countries. Although he enjoyed all of those assignments, some were in places considered to be not so nice. In Australia, he is one of the founders of Epic Energy and was responsible for the construction of the Southwest Queensland Gas Pipeline. He was also Director of Oil & Gas for URS.
Bob, an American by birth, has a Bachelors Degree in Geology and a Masters Degree in Oceanography and Limnology. Proud to be a Cheese Head (native of Wisconsin) he is also very happy that he and his wife, Darcy, are permanent residents of Australia.
Grahame Baker Senior Advisor
Grahame Baker is Senior Advisor at RLMS. A Chemical Engineer by profession, Grahame has over 40 years experience in the petroleum, energy and process industries. Grahame prepares technical and due diligence reports on the oil and gas industry including developments in the industry, related petroleum and energy infrastructure, gas production, gas reserves and resources and power generation. His experience covers conventional natural gas, coal seam gas and other unconventional gas as well as liquid petroleum.
Sue Slater Senior Advisor
Sue Slater is currently a full-time staff member of with responsibility for various aspects of tenure management, pipeline approvals, and environmental management. Sue graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in geology in 1980. Since then she has completed further study at the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from QUT. She has previously worked for the Geological Survey of Queensland, Department of Mines and Energy and Tipperary Oil & Gas (Australia) Pty Ltd. In these roles she has variously been responsible for technical assessment of petroleum tenure applications, preparation of annual reports, well completion reports, preparation of applications for various petroleum tenures, environmental reporting and compliance, tenure compliance, land management, well site assessment, well logging and geological evaluation. She is currently a member of PESA and QUPEX, and has been on the Queensland/Northern Territory PESA committee since
medicines4all.com 2007 and was Branch President from 2009 to 2013.
Richard Wood Senior Advisor
Richard Wood has 30 years experience in the planning and development disciplines. Richard has worked extensively in the planning field, in State Government, local Government and private enterprise in Victoria, Northern Territory and Queensland. Richard, prior to working with RLMS, was employed in the Coordinator-General’s area of the Queensland Government where he was involved in major project facilitation and State Development Area development. He has extensive experience in the planning and development of major projects. Richard has a comprehensive understanding of the Queensland State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 and the Sustainable Planning Act 2009. Richard has worked with RLMS for the last 5 years and he is able to provide advice on route selection, environmental assessment, government relations, identifying appropriate regulatory paths and project managing regulatory approval process.
Kerissa Reedy GIS Specialist
Kerissa Reedy is a Senior GIS Specialist at RLMS with 9 years’ experience in the GIS industry. Kerissa has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Resource & Environmental Science and Land Information Systems, from the University of Canberra.
Kerissa began her career in GIS at BAE Systems as a GIS Cartographer in Canberra, later to be rolled into the Geoscience Australia, Geospatial & Earth Monitoring Division. Here Kerissa spent a significant amount of time reproducing the Australian World Aeronautical Charts (WAC) whilst also assisting in the development and maintenance of the NTDB & NTMS Specifications. Kerissa began employment with RLMS in 2008 and has since developed mapping standards and specifications for RLMS. Kerissa now specialises in route selection & alignments, environmental constraint and landholder property mapping. Kerissa also specialises in Alignment Sheet generation with the TurboRoute software.
